A day in Bologna: Wandering Through History
Picture this: a beautiful summer day in Bologna. We strolled the city streets looking for the next cozy place to grab delicious pasta and take some funny photos. But it wasn't all about indulging our taste buds.
Beckoned by the allure of history and culture, Bologna invited us to unravel its timeless charms. Embracing the summons, we ventured into the enchanting corridors of Europe's oldest university, a magnificent place of wisdom and enlightenment. There, amidst its hallowed halls, we discovered a treasure trove of knowledge, a journey that ignited our minds and enriched our souls.

Within the walls of the university is hidden a real gem - its captivating library. When we entered, we were transported back in time, surrounded by shelves and shelves of books that hold centuries of culture, curiosity and imagination. The dim light made us feel initiated into ancient knowledge and added a mystical atmosphere to the whole experience. Eyes filled with wonder, we stood in awe among the centuries-old manuscripts and books, feeling like modern day time travelers. It was a mesmerizing and humbling experience realizing that the thirst for knowledge had lasted for generations.

So far so good!
Our day was going smoothly and according to plan, but as we all know, life takes unexpected turns, and we encountered a slight detour on our trip to the lavender fields. We got off at the wrong train station! Little did we know that this small inconvenience would lead us to a day of amusement and laughter.
First, let's be clear that it was cold in the train, not just cold, but brain-freezing cold. The difference in temperatures outside and inside was shocking, so our brain cells probably just went unconscious and in our rush to leave this arctic paradise, we just got off one station earlier. However, this minor hiccup turned into excitement as our Italian host came to our rescue, and during the trip, we discovered a strange connection between a Bulgarian pop folk song and this Italian macho. Who would have guessed that music could connect cultures so easily? Laughing and bonding over our shared love of proper catchy Balkan-style tunes, we found ourselves eagerly anticipating what other surprises awaited us as we approached the lavender fields.
